Who are the NFL's best defensive players?

The Redskins signed Albert Haynesworth to a record free-agent deal for a defensive player in hopes he would live up to the label some put on him as the league's most dominant defender. His first year in Washington wasn't an unqualified success, but it seems rosy in comparison to the current offseason's reported battles about where he fits in new coach Mike Shanahan's 3-4 defense.
